·         Electrical Engineering degree from Politecnico di Torino in 1985 (cum laude).

·         Researcher for Telecom Italia from 1985 to 1987.

·         Researcher at Politecnico di Torino from 1988 to 1991.

·         Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino from 1991 to 2001.

·         Research Fellow at ESA/ESTEC in 1996.

·         Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino from 2002 to 2006.

·         Full Professor at Politecnico di Torino since 2007.

·         IEEE Fellow since 2010.
